INFORMATION
INCLUSIVE SPORT TRUST

The Fulton Hogan Basketball League was established in 2006 in Nelson, primarily, but not exclusively, for players with supported learning needs.

We quickly realized that there was a demand for more activities. In 2011, the Inclusive Sport Trust was established as a charitable trust to provide governance for the Fulton Hogan Basketball League and to develop more sporting opportunities for people with supported learning needs.

When the Fulton Hogan Basketball League began, we had eight teams across two grades. Today, we have approximately 14 teams playing basketball weekly during Terms 2 and 3 at Saxton Stadium. We are proudly affiliated with Nelson Basketball and Basketball New Zealand.

The Trust now offers a variety of sporting opportunities, including the Fulton Hogan Basketball League, the Active8Kids Junior Sport programme, Junior Jammers Basketball, multi-sport programmes for young adults, and the SportZone programme, which features Hook into Hockey in association with Nelson Hockey and Mighty Hoops Basketball in association with Nelson Basketball.

We also encourage participation in community events such as the Beach Clean-up and Daffodil Day.
